Kit Bash Shuttlecraft part 3

First coat of grey primer is on.

What the primer tells me is that along with the usual bit of filling and sanding, I probably need to do some paneling to the sides and most importantly I need to disguise the very obvious helicopter cockpit front.
What I am thinking of as a solution to that problem area is to cut the curved canopy off at an angle and replacing it with some flat angled pieces of styrene , helping to blend with the slab sided shuttle cockpit better.

part 1, part 2, part 4, part5

More soon...

  1. Amazing how the primer brings it all together.

I rather like the curved part of the helicopter canopy in your design. I can see what you're saying about it being obvious however.

    Great work as always.

  2. I love that this is one part bus and two parts rocket ship. Perfect.

While the heli canopy is a bit obvious, it won't take much to fix.

  3. The helicopter front end has been modified considerably and some extra detailing added on the sides. The engines still have some more detailing to come and then I will upload some new pics.
